The back of the heart quilt will be log cabin , with the heart blocks quilted on the front when they are joined the quilt will be finished!
The request for hearts asked for them to be in blues and or yellow.The reasoning for this is that Trevor that blue is the colour of the sky and the sea with yellow being the colour of the sun and the sand.
The variety of styles of hearts plus the different fabrics still stuns me.
The hearts also are a tangible, tactile way of receiving a cyberhug.
We had no idea that so many people would care enough to send hearts, very humbling.
To each and everyone go our heartfelt thanks.
The intention is to post photos of all the hearts here over the next week or so.
Currently the hearts etc are stored in these containers.
Have an album for storing the letters and cards but it will need something much larger than that.

I don't know the whole story behind the heart quilt but whatever it is, it looks like it will be lovely and will be made with a lot of love.
